White House backs deficit commission delay

WASHINGTON (BestGrowthStock) – The White House said on Tuesday it supported a decision by the presidential deficit commission to delay a vote on its final plan by two days.

“We support the Chairs’ decision to slightly delay the vote to build consensus and ensure that members have the time they need to thoroughly consider all proposals,” Amy Brundage, a White House spokeswoman, said in a statement.

“The President won’t prejudge the outcome of their work but looks forward to hearing their recommendations this week.”
